The Pit Fighter

In the days before Feyanor freed the Orcs of the kingdom and even before the magiclysm, the Pit Fighter was a high end “rich mans” pub where slave owners would spend fortunes or drown sorrows across from the old arena. After Feyanor Freed the Orcs and outlawed fighting to the death as an entertainment, this establishment almost went out of business, the once wealthy slave owners finding new business ventures and drinking establishments that catered to them.

In time, Freed Orcs and Human, ex-arena fighters, began to frequent the establishment and the mood and theme changed dramatically. For years, hard drinking and prostitution were the norm on the upper levels and in the once well stocked wine caves, death fights, drugs and black market dealings were carried out with impunity. The reputation of The Pit Fighter became so fierce that local constables refused to enter without military backup.

Now, in the wake of the brutal attack on Akadimar, The Pit Fighter is one of the few inns that has not been destroyed or taken over as officers quarters, new recruit lodging and field hospitals. Off duty soldiers, sailors and residents come inside to drink to forget the blood and ash in the streets, or celebrate that they still live. Fights, hard drinking and prostitution are more in vogue than ever, but murder and drugs are no where to be seen.
